Welcome! I was taking a walk down memory lane this morning looking at my old blog and it was so fun to read all of the things that were going on at that point in my life. It's been over 2 years since my last post, and I thought about resurrecting it, but so much has changed. I feel like a new place for my ideas is warranted.
Over the past 2ish years I've somehow managed to squeeze a lot of life in. I've moved from Westchester to Brooklyn and back. I got married...twice...to my lovely person (J) and then most world-shakingly, we had a beautiful baby boy. I'm a mom guys!
People always say, "you'll never understand love until you have a baby," or "having a baby completes you," but those always sounded like lip-service. I love babies, but I love my family, I know how to love. I'm complete. And then it happened. Having a baby is wonderful, scary, exhausting, and an exercise in learning to give up control (I'm really bad at this) but it really is magic. The first time they put that little guy on my chest it filled me up in that cliched 'I didn't know I was missing this' kind of way.
So now, here we are...my stab at a mommy blog. Mostly, I just want a place to keep some memories, an excuse to break out the real camera more often, and maybe something my family can read to check in on us. Here goes!
